A simple thought that I finds so hard to explain
How is it that it seems so strange to explain to people that when I talk to God, he answers. I can not seem to let one moment go buy where I am not asking His opinion or Her(Mary's) help. When did they become the center of everything? I guess it happened slowly, but I still get so excited when my prayers are answered. I can't say" It's like he reads my mind," because He knows my mind. He knows,every thought and desire and plan and scheme. What a simple thought.

So true, Search For Him. Today, as I was quickly walking back to the car after accomplishing half of what I wanted to do, a phone call came out of the blue and the person at the other end took care of 90 percent of my issues. Then this person called back a half hour later to confirm a payment. She really didn't have to do any of this, but she did. God is always working, we must just ask and listen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this. I am always delighted to stumble across people who have these experiences because among the people I know they seem so rare. Probably the most startling evidence of God's communication and working came for me on the ride home from a religious education conference I attended last February in Los Angeles. I don't know why, but I mentioned some of my experiences of hearing what seemed very clearly to be God's voice telling me to do something or other (which, it turned out, really needed to be done although I had known nothing about the situation prior to that voice contact). The driver, a friend of a friend and therefore someone I had just met, nearly stopped the car. She said that she had heard on a talk show someone who claimed to have heard God, and she did not believe that this was possible. So she had prayed for God to send her someone who had heard His voice as evidence that He does still speak to people. And there I was in her car! (Of course, I don't hear a voice daily -- it is on rare occasions for very important things, as I am sure it is for you. The other times, which are daily, sort of, are the kinds of things KAM mentions: a problem solved in a surprising way, support (even money) out of the blue where and when it is needed, and the like.
